We continue to witness an extraordinary move of the
Holy Spirit across the Bible translation landscape.
Local churches are increasingly stepping forward to
lead and champion translation efforts within their own
languages and communities. As we further strengthen
our collaborative approach with these churches and
partner organizations, we are supporting a record
number of language projects — approaching 3,000
engagements in fiscal year 2025.

Approximately 25 years ago, Wycliffe USA set
forth a bold vision: to initiate a Bible translation
in every remaining language by the end of
2025. As 2025 comes to a close, the number
has now fallen to approximately 550 languages
awaiting translation work to start. Reaching this
milestone will ultimately require God’s continued
movement, and we remain steadfast in our efforts
to ensure every language community begins a
translation. Looking beyond 2025, we remain
committed to seeing every person have access
to the full counsel of God’s Word. Even after
each language has initial translation underway,
a substantial amount of work still lies ahead to
make that vision a reality.
